Highlights for Couples:

Charleston is practically saturated in romance. The amazing sunsets, the beach walks, and the delicious restaurants where you can have an intimate dinner with your sweetheart all contribute to this overall sense of love. We recommend 39 Rue de Jean as the perfect candlelit restaurant to celebrate with your love over a bottle of French wine and a steaming plate of mussels. Take a sunset walk on The Battery, a private carriage tour, or just simply relax by the pool at Sailor’s Rest and enjoy the beautiful gardens throughout the property. Kiawah Beachwalkers Park beach is right down the street and the perfect place to spend a few hours.

Highlights for Families:

Charleston is also family-friendly and great for kids. From the Children’s Museum, The Charleston History Museum, the many Plantations often with petting zoos, Bee City and the Charleston Aquarium, there is a vast selection of educational destinations for children and adults alike. On Johns Island, there is The Goatery, where you can meet many farm animals and learn about them, Kiawah Beach for a fun day in the sun, kayak and dolphin tours down the street from Sailor’s Rest, or simply just relax poolside at our Airbnb while your kids play in the pool, explore the gardens, and feed our chickens and koi fish. There are many child amenities at Sailor’s Rest such as a pack n play, baby countertop bath, a high chair, a toddler/baby sized swing and kid’s dinnerware to help make your family vacation as stress-free as possible.
